Golden Obsidian
Obsidian is formed from the lava that has cooled very rapidly. When bubbles of air appear on the top layers of this volcanic glass, it can produce a golden halo-like surface of 'gold obsidian'. Obsidian has been used since ancient times to make cutting tools, weapons and ornaments. Many crystal pratitioners consider obsidian a powerful and protective stone, dissolving emoional blocks, disposing of old shocks and fear, and bringing clarity to feelings.
